"Is no disgrace." ANON.
In our dependent golden days,
When loyalty no harm meant;
A zealous courtier then I was,
By which I got preferment.
To flatter the great I never miss'd,
Or those in power or station,
And curs'd all those who did resist,
The rulers of the nation.
And this is law I will maintain,
(I hold it no disgrace sirs)
That whatsoever power shall reign,
I'll keep myself in place sirs.
